The associations urged the Commission to ensure a careful IP transition that protects existing interconnection arrangements, avoids service disruptions, and builds a robust record before changing key voice network rules. The associations also emphasized the ongoing need for FCC involvement to preserve consumer protection and a fair competitive landscape both now and in an all-IP environment.
