FCC Commissioner Olivia Trusty to Keynote CCA’s Annual Convention
Educational program to focus on convergence, AI, spectrum policy, and more
Washington, D.C. – CCA’s 2025 Annual Convention is taking place September 15-17 at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort, bringing together leading voices in the telecom industry for discussions on the most pressing issues facing competitive carriers today. CCA’s Annual Convention is the premier event for competitive carriers and technology industry professionals, offering three days of educational sessions, keynote presentations, exhibits, and networking opportunities.
This year’s convention features a keynote speech by Commissioner Olivia Trusty of the Federal Communications Commission at 9:00 AM CDT on Wednesday, September 17. Following remarks by the Commissioner, CCA will present its 2025 Annual Achievement Awards, recognizing member companies and individuals who have gone above and beyond over the past year.
Another highlight of the show is the Fierce Network Keynote Panel, taking place on Tuesday, September 16 at 12:30pm during the keynote luncheon. The panel entitled, “2025: The Convergence of Everything,” will examine the ways in which network providers are connecting customers – whether it be mobile, wireline, fixed wireless, satellite, fiber, and/or cable – and the business and policy implications that are emerging. Speakers include:
- Monica Alleven, Executive Editor, Fierce Network – moderator
- Don Culeton, CEO, IDI Billing Solutions
- Brighid Riordan, CEO, Nsight
- Additional speakers to be announced.
Immediately following the panel at 1:15 PM is a presentation by John Wick, EVP and Chief Product Officer of Syniverse, entitled, “Harness the Power of Data to Unlock New Revenue Streams & Delight Subscribers.”
“We are thrilled to have a great lineup of industry experts, including Commissioner Trusty, joining us this year,” said Tim Donovan, President and CEO of CCA. “With topics like convergence and the future of telecommunications policy under the spotlight, as well as important discussions on AI's evolving role from both a policy and technical perspective, this convention promises to be one of the most valuable gatherings of the year for our members and industry stakeholders."
