CCA Letter to Congress on Spectrum Auction Reauthorization Act (H.R. 3565)

May 24, 2023

Washington, D.C. – Today, Competitive Carriers Association President and CEO Tim Donovan wrote a letter to lawmakers regarding the Spectrum Auction Reauthorization Act (H.R. 3565) and made the following statement:

“CCA commends the Energy and Commerce Committee for unanimously reporting the Spectrum Auction Reauthorization Act out of Committee. This important bill would address urgent challenges facing the wireless industry – including restoring the FCC’s lapsed auction authority and funding the “rip and replace” shortfall that continues to threaten national security and connectivity in many rural areas. With deadlines either passed or looming, we support swift consideration by both chambers of Congress to send this important bill to the President for enactment.”
